White Button Down Shirt…

Hello friends… After a long hiatus I’m back. I’ve missed you all so much. February is the month of love, but I tell you it was not a very good month for me. Work got the best of me, and I had absolutely no time for anything else. I’m so happy that’s over, and I can get back to what I love. The connection I have with my readers, is so important to me. Well… enough of that. Just know I really appreciate you all.

Now, let’s talk about this outfit! If it’s one thing I know, every woman should have a white button down shirt. It’s a must have, as it can be styled so many ways. I decided to style mine with this super cute pair of jeans, and I loved the end result. I purchased this shirt sometime last year while shopping for my vacation clothes. This is my second time wearing it, and I have fallen in love with it again. I think it’s because of the party in the back that really sold me.

But, what about these jeans. When I saw them online, I knew I had to have them. The tulip hem gave me a 70’s vibe, and I was so here for it. Sometime being a short woman have some perks, these jeans were actually ankle length, but on me they were full length. I always run into that, and it’s okay. So, to my petite woman, the look may not be the same as it is on the mannequin, but like Tim Gunn says “make it work”.

To complete my look, I went with a black pump. This shorty, needed a lift in the height category. Added my black bag that I scored on amazon, but something was missing. I needed a bit of color to really complete my overall look, and opted for a pair of red tassel drop earrings. Now, I was ready for a day of fun. What exciting things did you do Saturday? On another note, my white button down isn’t available online, so I’m sharing a few that I know you will love.

Until next time,

Single and Alone When All Your Friends Are In Relationships…

This is probably the hardest post I will ever make, but here we go… It’s been six years since my last serious relationship, and at first I thought I was okay with that. Well lately I’ve been yearning to find someone to spend the rest of my life with. It’s that empty feeling, I feel sometimes. “Hard to face though” Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve gone on dates, but it never amounted to anything. Through this time, it has allowed me to work on me, so I can be the best I can be to my future King! I don’t want a man just for the sake of saying I have a man. My goal is, and has always been to have a man that will complete me.

In my quest for working on me I have also refrain from sexual intimacy. I know what you may be thinking, six years is a very long time, and OH it REALLY is. Well I suppose I put more focus on other things in my life that make me happy, and time just flew by. Trust me, I would love the opportunity to have the kind of intimacy that doesn’t end with my clothes off though. That’s very hard to find these days. I refuse to compromise myself just for that moment. I was asked by a friend don’t you like sex, my answer was of course I do. But… there is more to life than just the act itself. Can you Stimulate my mind?

As I look back on how long it’s been, I said know way it’s been that long (trust me it really has) where did the time go. However, I don’t want to wait another six years. But, when I think about it, I have zero tolerance  for BS with men. Side note: it just might end up being another six years, but I hope not. Most of the men, I’ve come across lately don’t want to take the time to get to know you. What’s up with that?? I have people say you attract what you give out, what does that really mean? I carry myself like a lady, that deserves and want more.

The fact that I haven’t been in a relationship has also brought me closer to God, and the love I have for him is one that can’t be shaken. I pray daily, but I don’t ask God to send me a man. When it’s my time, it will happen and only then. Being single and alone doesn’t have to be a death sentence. I know that’s a hard pill to swallow, especially when you may see so many of your friends in successful relationships. And who likes being a third wheel, or the only single person at gatherings? So guess what, I will just continue attended events that don’t require a date. Now at the end of the day, I would be lying if I didn’t say I was a bit envious of those in happy relationship, but my time will come. Am I the only person left in this world thats single, I do feel that way sometime. You just never know what your friends or others have gone through that got them to that level of happiness. Focusing on YOU is key!

As adults we have to make hard choices, and that means looking deep inside yourself to re-evaluate and regroup. I’m loving the WOMAN I’m becoming in this time though, and my King will love me too. In the end, I don’t need a lot to make me happy. So in essence, I do have a very fulfilling relationship, and it’s with the almighty God, he never lets me down. He accepts me with my flaws and all. He doesn’t judge me. He loves me unconditionally. He brings me the joy that I need, not what I want. I have always had faith, and believed in God, but during this time my relationship with him has truly evolved.

If you are facing a similar situation, take this time to mediate and pray and know you are not alone. I say to all Women, don’t compromise who you are to be with a man just to say you have a man. YOU deserve more, and who doesn’t love a great love story. And always remember, being alone doesn’t mean lonely.
Until next time, have a great day!

I liked it so much I had to buy it. What women doesn’t love a great cardigan? I decided to pair the cardigan with my mustard dress that I purchased last year, and I was beyond excited with the overall look. Pushing boundaries with Fashion is so much fun, when was the last time you step out of your comfort zone? Next time, take a chance with your next outfit, you might surprise yourself. Embroidered Denim…

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I’m coming to you to share these oh so cute embroidered jeans. Because what kind of friend would I be if I kept them all to myself. As always, doing a bit of shopping online, and was instantly drawn to the detail on the jeans. They were Gloria Vanderbilt and I hadn’t worn any of her jeans since high school. I only wished that I had sized down one, they were a little big. Nonetheless I wasn’t going to waste time sending them back. However; the colors in the jeans, I knew would be a perfect match with my burgundy cold shoulder top. These jeans would look great with a pair of sneakers, I opted to wear booties and I loved the overall look. My navy floppy hat brought the entire outfit together. Don’t you get that 70’s vibe when you see floppy hats, I know I do. These jeans are a statement piece all by themselves, that’s why any top would look great with them. So what are you waiting for get out there and get you a pair!

When black and white collide…

Hello all, I know it’s been a while since my last post, but work has been keeping me very busy. Just stopping in to share this beautiful cold shoulder dress. The blend of black and white is what I loved about the dress, and not to mention the pockets.

Now that’s a major win!

This dress can be purchased at my new favorite store Stage. Although I purchased it in store at Palais Royal, I’m sure you can find her at your local Stage store. I decided to pair the dress with my black and gold belt to add a little spice to it. Now my gold necklace is one of the pieces from my shopping event with Palais Royal, isn’t she gorgeous. What about these booties though, block heels are becoming my go to style for heels. They are Very comfortable and I can’t get enough of them. What are some of your go to style heels?

Set the Stage Review…

I’m so excited to write this post about my Amazing experience I had collaborating with Palais Royal (part of the Stage Family). I have always been an avid shopper of the brand, and this experience solidified why. First let start with the shopping event, it was a cut above the rest. I had my very own personal shopper to help me pick my outfit for the event. Now of course, that was phenomenal. But, the best part of the day was picking an outfit to style for a mannequin. I was like a little kid running through the store, as I saw so many cute styles to choose from.

Jasmine, and her team exceeded my expectations and I was so looking forward to the “Big” day. Being able to share the stage with five other bloggers was so much fun. These ladies were warm, and very friendly, which calm my nerves quite a bit. As this was my first time participating in an event where I had to walk a stage showcasing my fashion choice. The ladies and I laughed, shared stories, and before long my nerves had slowly gone away. Thank you ladies for making this event one for the books.

Now, let’s talk about this beautiful cobalt blue lace dress I wore. The color alone had me feeling so beautiful and feminine. I live for a great lace dress, what about you? The photos really highlight all the details in this dress. The sleeves had to be my favorite part of the dress. I don’t know about you, but it’s just something about lace I can’t get enough of it. So, Trust me when I say this dress is a definitely must have for Fall. The dress can be dressed up for an evening with your significant other, or just an day of brunch with the girls. For my shoes, I went with the Madden Girl floral print heel sandals. And keeping more of the focus on the dress: I opted for gold accessories.

The “Set the Stage” event was outstanding. From the fabulous DJ Ernie ( he kept us moving) to the awesome guest, and the food cater by Cordua (oh my what can I say about that). It was so delish. There was so much love in the room, and you felt it from everyone present. The photo booth was so much fun from The Pic Shop. He provided so many props to choose from. The swag bags for the guest was a nice touch (who doesn’t love free goodies). My mom loved everything in her bag, she even tried to snag my sisters. My dad even won tickets to see his favorite team the Houston Texans.

Have to get the makeup right!

I love the fact that I met some amazing bloggers, and look forward to what the future holds for all of us.
You can check each one of them out on Instagram, and don’t forget to show them some love.

To top it off, my mannequin was GORG! When I saw this leopard print cardigan I knew that was the perfect piece to showcase my edgy style. The cardigan spoke to me in ways you couldn’t understand. What women doesn’t love leopard print? Although I live in Houston, and you know it can be warm for the next few months. I decided to style the cardigan with a one shoulder black ruffle top. So on the chance it gets a little warm, you can take off the cardigan and you’re still trendy. All I needed to do now was pick the right pair of jeans, and booties of course. Levi jeans are classic, and never go out of style, so I knew that was the right choice. The black booties and tan bag brought the look completely together. All I thought was, my mannequin is fall approved and I loved everything about it.

Thank you to Jasmine and her team for allowing me to be apart of the first ever bloggers event. The hospitality that was displayed by the entire Stage family was one I will never forget. You ladies really know how to make a girl feel special.
